Sunday, August 13

arrrgghh, that's more like it!

Flaming "we call them pirates" hat:

(why yes, I have made off with the camera with the better macro capabilities!)

This was the progress as of lunchtime today. I'll have to set it aside now - I'm away for work until Saturday and I am going to take my socks along to work on. So I thought the end of two skull repeats was a good place to stop.

Greyhounds are really smart dogs - all appearances to the contrary.

Sabrina doing what she does best.

I've been busy finishing up laundry and packing my bags for the week. I'm ending up my business meetings by having the big fella and Sabrina meet me when I'm done, then we're heading onto Edmonton to attend this concert which we attended two years ago. It's a fantastic evening out. I've got my little black dress all ready to go!

I forgot to mention that in the comments below, Julia had a great suggestion - use the variegated yarn for the background and knit the skulls in black - perfect! So I will definitely implement that idea in my next hat!

your pirate hat is awesome! and Sabrina's photos are a hoot.
Enjoy your week and the concert.

My favorite is when they wake up from sleeping with their tongues hanging out on the carpet, that "blech, blergh, blah" weird chewing yawning thing they do, because their tongue is all dried out and ( I think) feels like an alien thing in their mouth.

Hooray for flaming skulls!
