how can this be comfortable?!

But apparently it is!

Mid-week already. The big fella was talking about something he had to do and I said, "I thought that wasn't until Thursday" and he gave me the "dumbass" look and said that tomorrow is Thursday. Oh. I've got things I've got to get done the next two days at work because once I walk out of there on Friday, I'm not back until October 17th, what with my work conference and following holidays - yay!

I am pretty much organized for being away that long (except for sorting out my knitting to take, which I'll do on the weekend) and have my packing lists prepared. We're really looking forward to our trip; I can hardly wait.

Not much knitting or crocheting progress to show. The past few nights I haven't had a chance to sit down and do any. The crochet ripple afghan is coming along - I'm only a few rows into it, but the crochet has all come back to me, so I could motor along, if I had any time to actually sit down and do so!

Yesterday was a crisp autumn day, bright blue sky, golden leaves rustling in the wind. Today it was DARK at 6 a.m. when we took Sabby out; then dawn came and it clouded over and drizzled off and on. When we went out after supper it was still raining so Sabby wore her rain slicker and we weren't gone that long, just long enough to take care of business and stretch our legs.

Sabrina manages to make even that pose look comfortable!
I hope your conference and holidays go well and you get lots of relaxation time.
