woo hoo - vacay wifi!

After staying at a modern-day interpretation of the Bates Hotel last night - no phone in room, etc. I'm sitting here with a high speed wi fi connection in our room tonight. We made good time today and it's just a few hours tomorrow to get to Pacific Rim. Can't wait!

We were lucky enough to stop by and visit Ande, her guy and the hounds and cats. I was so proud to introduce Sabrina to them - especially because they all got along and no serious squabbles ensued. I forgot to bring my camera in from the car, so have no pics to share.

Sabby took to the ferry ride like an old pro - she and the big fella caught up on their beauty sleep:

I now have three pairs of socks on the needles and have worked a little on each so far during our trip. I am pretty sure I'll also be starting my hat idea in the next day or two. I'll post some pics soon.

Don't know if I'll have internet access once we get on Pac Rim; if not, I'll write up the entries and then slap them up once we get back to Vancouver. I actually finally felt like I was on vacation today; the entire time we were driving yesterday I was thinking of work, etc. whenever I let my mind drift. Ugh.

do I see a hedgehog keeping Sabrina company? Everyone looks very rested.
3 pairs of socks! can't wait to see the finished results.

of course, Mary Anne, we couldn't take Sabby on a holiday without at least TWO hedgehogs!
