Sunday, December 3

now that's more like it!

Yesterday was a long day - I was up at 5 a.m. Sask time to get to the Ottawa airport and catch my flight. I had a stop-over in Toronto for a couple of hours, then the flight to Saskatoon. And then another 2.5 hours of driving after that. So it was dark when I got home. But I looked at the window as I pulled up and there was that little grey face watching for me!

I had an early night and was able to sleep in this morning (apart from being up at 6:30 to feed the princess because she refused to eat yesterday until I got home; her stomach was gurgling so loud it woke me up). Later on after lunch we ventured out into the yard.

It had warmed up to about -20°C. Sabrina tried to outrun the cold.

Hmm. Maybe if I run the other way:

Sabrina tries her psychic powers to let me know she's cold and wants to go in.

Later in the afternoon we three went out for a [brief] walk. I can't believe how much snow we have - especially since I left on Monday morning.

The big fella has been kept busy shoveling.

On my return flight(s) I knit the Malabrigo hat. It turned out good. I remembered to start the crown shaping earlier, so it fits perfectly.

This is Malabrigo merino, colourway "Solymar". I love it.

Sabrina models with her usual panache.

So back at it tomorrow. I can only imagine the massive number of voice mails I'll have to contend with, being away for a full week. Ugh. How many more days until the weekend?!

Yeah! You're home safe! And I see Sarah may have shown Biner a few modelling tips!
